Where's Waldi?

Have you ever heard of Waldi? No? Waldi was the dachshund mascot of the 1972 Summer Olympics. Yep, a dachshund. Yes, a mascot. How cool is that? To top it, Waldi was the first Olympics mascot.
I told Antonio that his breed was once a symbol of international sports, but he's uninterested. Maybe I'm alone in my excitement?

I've spent some time tonight looking for a stuffed Waldi, a t-shirt... anything at all... and I've found nothing. How cute would a line of Waldi t-shirts be? In kid sizes, adult sizes, and stuffed animals. I need funding.

You can have it made at cafepress.com or I could try to make you one.
I do like the symbol. It is kind of the NBC peacock - do you remember that?

You should check out to make sure there are no licensing issues. Even if there are, you might be able to get 'em on the cheap.
