Wow. Four Years.

So I completely missed my blogiversary. Yes, bloggers celebrate blogiversaries. My blog was four years old last month, and although I vaguely remembered that it was coming up a month or so ago, it was Teena in Toronto who reminded me (Thanks, Teena!).

A few years ago I might have written up a long, thoughtful post about my last year, or even my last four years, but so much has changed in the last four years that I can hardly remember those days sometimes. I'm the same, but I'm different. I'm older (and, I like to think: wiser). Four years go by quite fast when you're out there living them, don't they?

I can only say that I've enjoyed having a voice to the world these last four years, even if my readers are far more limited today than they used to be. Our blogger group now communicates on Facebook, and those that were anonymous aren't any longer... at least amongst their friends. The whole world is online now. Everyone has their own little piece of the Internet - some more private than others. But I still have my blog... and I think, although I'm posting less, that I'll keep it for awhile longer. It's fun to have a soapbox to stand on - even if only a few people are around to listen. I like it here. I'm grateful to have this place to come to... and although I've had a few minutes of fame from time to time over the years, I'm just not convinced my fifteen minutes are up quite yet.

Here's to working on year five. :)
