And So It Is...
Today will be my last day at work for a week. Tomorrow I am headed to CES, the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. CES is America's largest annual tradeshow and not only fills the conventon center, but overflows into several hotel convention halls as well.
I am staying for a week, and although I am a techy nerd at heart and am looking forward to walking the floor, my schedule is jam-packed Monday-Thursday, all day long. On top of that, I'm not a huge fan of Vegas and all of its 'bling,' so I'll be avoiding the casinos as much as possible in lieu of convention time, meetings, room time and work dinners.
So today I work, trying frantically to get a number of things wrapped up before I leave, and tonight I pack for a week's worth of travelling. Did I mention that I got very little sleep last night? Ugh.

Bring me back CES schwag! Or something nice and electronic-like. I like the gadgets.
Oh yeah - you've got get bling and blog the outrageous stuff that's coming our way. Internet savvy refrigerators, all the new gadgets....
I get to go to San Diego for a week in February for a conference, but it's a bunch of surgeons - hardly glamorous. Don't break a leg that week - all the GOOD orthopedic surgeons will be in CA.
I read an article by David Foster Wallace awhile ago about another convention in Las Vegas that always coincides with CES. I'm curious to know if you'll catch wind of it while you're there...

Katherine: It's funny that you mention that because everyone is talking about it. "NO PORN FOR YOU!" I'll do my best to miss the porn convention, I promise.
All: I have to walk the floor for DAYS so I'm not sure what I can grab and bring back, but I'll take photos!
